Ramblings
For sure, embedded somewhere in the various recordings is a hand built (steve carter/billy parker) distortion pedal but the build took so long (and eventually failed, though we still had a laugh) that the skills of one ‘John Jebb’ were employed to remedy the situation. if you hear it then it’s there…. If not…. Then it still might be there.
Another insight to this recording is the software package used …. Namely ‘Sonar’. Again, this is expected to be the last output using this particular DAW. In an attempt to keep things fresh and to aid us in keeping our brains active/learning, we will pursue the alternative package ‘studio one’ for future recordings.
Note: during the recording of these tracks, the original laptop gave up the ghost and when the ‘work in progress’ was transferred to the new laptop various features/effects etc were lost. This may have helped or indeed hindered the final output….. who can tell?
All recordings were undertaken at shoesize records home studio (billy & julies)
There’s a chance that if anybody had been listening to us for the last 2 or 3 years, then this album may sound dated in places, the reason for that maybe some of the tracks are over 2 years old
